Jerry Davis, Co-Producer of Robots, talks about the movie, 3d, and 2d animation

This interview over at Box Office Mojo with Jerry Davis talks about the development of the film, along with his pervious work and an outlook on the future. Blue Sky Animation, the company behind Robots, is also talked about during this interview. He is also asked for his opinion on 2d animation, which is thought to be dead in America by many.

BOM: Is traditional, two-dimensional animation dead?

Davis: I don't believe it's dead. Right now, it's difficult to make a 2D movie; the way budgets are right now. It's expensive to make a 2D movie that would be a good financial risk because the market seems to be enamored with 3D. You could do something like Team America. Steamboy's coming out. You're going to see some different types of 2D movies.

It is a very broad interview that is easy to read, but not the most informative. You can read the whole thing here.
