Just stumbled on some new pictures from the set of War of the Worlds from Howell Township with the help of a reader email. Thanks anonymous scooper!  This movie is a contemporary retelling of H.G. Wells seminal classic.

The Sci Fi Adventure Thriller "War of the Worlds" reveals the extraordinary battle for the future of humankind through the eyes of one American family fighting to survive it.

War of the Worlds, which features complex computer-generated visual effects, has been put on a very fast track, with only 10 weeks of preproduction. DreamWorks and Paramount are co-financing the movie. Sources told the trade papers that the budget for the film could exceed $100 million. David Koepp wrote the script; Kathleen Kennedy and Paula Wagner will produce.
