War of the Worlds - Omnium Finis Imminet is no ad

Paramount emailed us today to let us know about a clarification for all you New Yorkers who were admiring the "Omnium Finis Imminet" War of the Worlds ads seen in New York City. Paramount has emailed just to  clarify these are not War of the Worlds advertisements. The NY Times ran a correction today

"An article on Saturday about unusual subway advertisements included an erroneous identification from transit officials for the production whose ad featured a flock of birds with the phrase "Omnium Finis Imminet," Latin for "The End of All Things Is Near."

It is an NBC television series called "Revelations," not Steven Spielberg's film version of "War of the Worlds."

Thanks to Paramount for clearing this up. So for those of you who were admiring the cool posters with the latin on em well they are still cool they just aint for War of the Worlds.

War of the Worlds, the new film based on H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise, has been put on a fast track for production. David Koepp wrote the script; Kathleen Kennedy and Paula Wagner will produce,
