No Man's Land - new SciFi-Thriller coming

I just read this, and i really think "This could get gooooood". Producer Walter F. Parkes ("The Ring 2", "The Island") told SCI FI Wire that he and his partner Laurie MacDonald are in pre-production on a new SciFi-Thriller titled "No Man's Land". And no other than Rick Baker ("Star Wars", "Man in Black") already started on designing the aliens for the movie.

Parkes said about the movie:

"It takes place in New York City eight years after ... the alien invasion that we lost. And it imagines New York City kind of like Paris during the Vichy government (under Nazi occupation during World War II), where we've all sort of just given up. And there's this race of aliens living there that get all the good tables, and the shops are kind of collaborating. And there's an incipient underground movement to take the Earth back."

"The main character is a cop who lost his wife when the aliens destroyed London, and so he's given up trying. Just trying to keep his eye on his eight square blocks of Manhattan, his beat. And there's a murder there, and it seems to be the murder of a human by a 'blue' (an alien). And he doesn't believe it. He thinks there's something fishy, and in finding the truth of that murder, he inadvertently reignites the rebellion, which will eventually take the Earth back."

This story sound really good, and it makes me very curious to see the movie. I hope they get a good director for the movie, cause till now, no director has been announced.
