Exclusive: Huge Freddy vs Jason 2 News

Well ok so thats what the writer called it... so you decide how huge it is. As you will recall some time ago we reported Freddy vs Jason 2 was in the works. We broke the news and then alot of folks ran articles that we didnt know what the hell we were talking about. Low and behold looks like our sources DO know what the hell they are talking about. So with that in mind a writer sent us the following this morning.

First off Iâ€™m not going to try and be anything Iâ€™m not. Iâ€™m not anyone who works for or in the know at New Line but I just received a email from someone who is in the know and told me that I could pass this along only under if I keep his name out of this email but here is the exact thing her sent me.

"Thanks for your email concerning the recent news on Freddy vs. Jason 2, however I canâ€™t confirm a project green light I can confirm that development is still under going and something big is happening. They no longer plan on adding in another character (due to the debacle of Ash from Evil Dead) but I am excited to tell you that the new plan now is to bring in old characters from the old movies, Corey Feldman from Friday the 13th 4 and 5 and Lisa Wilcox also from Nightmare on Elm street 3 and 4.

There trying to get as many of the surviving characters from each films past to return, its going to be a hour and half of both reminiscing and mayhem. Things are looking up for this once they find a director, rumored to be a horror icon things should fall into place for a summer shooting date. Again thanks for the email and keep your nose up for a announcement soon." thatâ€™s an email I received today, take it for what its worth but I am extremely excited about this.

Update: Our friends at Bloody-Disgusting are openly declaring this to be completely untrue. So this scooper is either in the know or totally out to lunch. one thing is for sure, time will tell. So stay tuned ladies and germs and lets just wait and see where this goes. The last Freddy vs Jason news ended up BEING true, so lets just see how accurate this scooper is.
