Batman Begins: Oldman & Caine Sign On!Posted by: The upcoming Batman 5, Batman Begins project just got an additional injection of prestige: Oscar-winning actor Michael Caine has agreed to co-star, according to Variety.Lest you wonder how they'll cram the 70-year-old thespian into the Batarmor, let us reassure you that he won't be taking the title role — Christian Bale will be playing the Dark Knight this time around. Caine will likely step into the part of Alfred, Bruce Wayne's butler, taking the place of Michael Gough. The final details of the deal haven't quite been worked out, so it's not 100 percent definite, but Caine has given his assent, so it shouldn't be long. There's been no word on why Gough isn't returning. Intense actor Gary Oldman has signed on to play a police officer in upcoming superhero flick Batman Begins Oldman will play Lt. James Gordon, an investigator for the Gotham police department, in the upcoming, long-in-the-works sequel according to The Hollywood Reporter. Christian Bale will portray Bruce Wayne (a k a Batman), Michael Caine stars as Alfred the butler, and Katie Holmes plays an old pal of Wayne's. Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman also co-star.
