Out of the grave.. up from the basement.. together again.. weâ€™re back, and weâ€™re not going to let you leave!

Yes, Linda (Betsy Baker), Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss), and Shelly (Sarah York) are back. This time they are safely out of the woods of the "Evil Dead" films, and are reunited once again as the "Ladies of The Evil Dead".

"Back in the winter of '79, in the mountains near Morristown, Tennessee, we endured bitter cold, painful contact lenses, numerous bumps and bruises, lack of sleep, lots of sticky fake blood... and helped to create horror movie history! We didn't know that's what we were doing at the time -- we just thought it would be fun to appear in a scary movie. But it's all coming back to us now... and we're coming back to you.

Over the years The Evil Dead and its sequels became a cult sensation, with thousands of fans and dozens of Web sites. And all this time the three of us have remained almost anonymous, quietly watching, patiently waiting... But now, to coincide with the 20th anniversary Anchor Bay Entertainment DVD release of The Evil Dead (featuring a booklet with entertaining written interviews by Ellen Sandweiss), we're back! Also, here's a good bit of news. It looks like the ladies are currently working on their very own documentary. Here's the latest on what they have to say:

"The Ladies are currently working on a documentary about, what else, the Ladies! We started gathering footage at our reunion show in Detroit a few years ago, and have been working on it ever since."

Very cool indeed, I can't wait to check that out. As soon more info about the dvd is known, we'll be sure to update you. In second thought, maybe that will be sooner than expected, because Movies Online will soon have an "Exclusive Interview" with one of the Ladies of The Evil Dead - Ellen Sandweiss (Cheryl).
