Hide and Seek:
This is just a great horror movie with a what the hell happened ending, but it's worth it. Dakota Rules! The movie centers on a young girl who loses her mother at an early age. Her father discovers, that his 9 year-old daughter has come up with an unusual, unexpected and ultimately terrifying way of dealing with her mother's death. The daughter has an imaginary friend named Charlie. A creepy, maniacal imaginary friend with a terrifying vendetta. Her father soon realizes that Charlie isn't make believe. Imaginary friends can seem so real... My Review: Hide & Seek Review

The Aviator:
Oscar is knocking on Scorsese's door, but is it deserved, or overhyped? I'm going with overhyped, long but a great hollywood movie with two powerful performances by Oscar nominees Leonardo DiCaprio and Cate Blanchett. Alan Alda was also nominated. Reteaming the director and star of Gangs of New York, Martin Scorcese's "The Aviator" stars Leonardo DiCaprio as legendary millionaire Howard Hughes. Focusing on the early part of Hughes' adult life, the film chronicles how he built his fortune, beginning as the proprietor of his late father's tool company, then as a Hollywood producer and the owner of RKO studios, and later as an aviation mogul. Alan Alda, Alec Baldwin, and Kate Beckinsale also star. My Review: Aviator Movie Review
Alone in the Dark:
This has worst movie of the year written all over it, mostly because of one name: Uwe Boll, whose House of the Dead was just a painful disaster. Oh, and Tara Reid is the female lead here so that doesn't help. Edward Carnby (Christian Slater) is a private investigator specializing in unexplainable supernatural phenomena. His cases delve into the dark corners of the world, searching for truth in the occult remnants of ancient civilizations.
Now, the greatest mystery of his past is about to become the most dangerous case he has ever faced. With the help of his ex-flame, archeologist Aline Cedrac (Tara Reid), and his bitter rival, government agent Richard Burke (Stephen Dorff), Edward Carnby is about to learn that just because you don¹t believe in something, that doesn¹t mean it can't kill you.

Million Dollar Baby:
so if the Oscar doesn't go to Scorsese's house, then it'll go to Clint's house. I'm watching M$B this weekend but I'm sure I, like everybody, will love it. Swank's Oscar chances are really good it seems and the movie, the script, Freeman and Clint (twice) are nominated.
Sideways:
this year's critics darling got pretty screwed by the Academy when they didn't nominate the very deserving Paul Giamatti. Now it's sure that it doesn't have any chances to get the Oscar. Still, the movie is excellent, with such a great chemistry between the cast and also Oscar worthy indivual performances by everybody.
My Review: Sideways Movie Review
Finding Neverland:
the other critic's darling and the movie everyone loves. Great performances by Johnny Depp and Kate Winslett as well as little Freddy Highmore who was a revelation. A truly great movie.
