Masters of Horror - 13 One Hour Movies!Posted by:Hold on a sec, while I catch my breath. This bit of news just floored me, casue it's so "Freakin Awesome!" This kind of reminds me of "J-Horror Theater", where some of the best directors of Japanese horror films get together and do a six part film anthology.
Now it looks like their American counterparts have gotten into the act - but actually "one up'ed" them by having 13 one hour movies. Geez... can I hyperventilate now.
Here's what AICN is reporting about "Masters of Horror": The Anchor Bay direct-to-video company is apparently producing "Masters of Horror," a series of at least 13 one-hour movies written and/or directed by revered genre geniuses. All 13 will be made, starting in April. Then, we hear, they will be shopped to HBO and Showtime. Dario Argento ("Suspira") Writing: Michael Brandt & Derk Haas ("2 Fast 2 Furious," "Catch That Kid") Richard Christian Matheson is said to be adapting a tale by his father, Richard Matheson ("The Twilight Zone," "The Incredible Shrinking Man," "The Raven," "Comedy of Terrors," "The Night Stalker"). Excuse me now, while I go and change me shorts. Source: AICN
