I tell you, sometimes you never know what you'll find when you are searching for news. Check out this lastest bit a scooper sent in to AICN concerining "The Poseidon Adventure Remake"
"I work for Warner Bros. I was looking through some of the stages under construction yesterday and I found out that the WB is doing the remake of "The Poseidon Adventure." Not that I don't think that you knew this. I was just writing to tell you how cool one of the stages looks. The building of largest part of the boat is being built on Stage 16 on the WB lot.
This is the famous stage where they filmed all of the storm scenes on "The Perfect Storm." The Stage is one of if not the largest one of its kind in the world. It has a huge water tank that goes about 40 ft. below the main floor of the stage where tons of water can be pumped into it. (I'm sorry I don't know how much water exactly.) It is the main stage with a big WB sign on the side of it that you see in the Warner Title at the beginning of any WB film. The stage is huge! They are building a piece of the boat that is four stories high and two of the stories go down into the floor of the stage. I'm guessing that they will be submerged at some point."
I had no idea that this film was even considered for a remake.. WOW! Hey, maybe Shelly Winters will have a cameo.. I wonder if she's been contacted? Anyways, from the sound of things.. this film is going to be huge. I loved the first one.. and I cant wait to see the ship get flipped again.
