City of the Dead - Brian Keenes Sequel to The Rising

Posted by:
The just released "City of the Dead" book, in a limited edition hard cover is the sequel to Brian Keene's epic zombie tale "The Rising."  This book picks up right where the other one left off, and "immediately raises the stakes-and the horror. Trapped inside a fortified skyscraper, humanity makes its last stand against an unstoppable, unforgiving, and undying enemy. The terror mounts with every page as they face overwhelming odds and dwindling numbers.

Welcome to New York City-population eight million zombies. Welcome to…the City of the Dead."

Personally, I wasn't a "huge" fan of the first book, but I will be picking this one up anways, just for the fact I need to know what happends.  Zombie traditionalists may not like these books because Brian does give the reader a unique look into zombies that one may not be used too.  Just think "outside the box" and think "outside the box" again.  Am I confusing you?  Not to give to much away.. Brian's zombies can talk, set up traps, drive vehicles and more.

Now from what I know the limited edition hard covers are currently out of stock, but if you are able to wait till July 2005 - you can then get your hands on a paperback copy.

All Things Zombies recently posted an excerpt from "City of the Dead", check it out here and see if you like his style of writing.  If you do.. then come July we can compare notes.
