Shaun of the Dead nominated for 3 BAFTA awards !Posted by:The British Academy Film Awards have released there nominations. Among the nominee's is fan favourite "Shaun Of The Dead" up for two awards.
The movie is nominated for The Alexander Korda Award for the outstanding British film of the year. The second nomination is Nira Park (the producer of Shaun) for The Carl Foreman Award for Special Achievement by a British Director/Producer or Writer in their First Feature Film. Stiff competition in both categories, but the best of luck to them. Among the other categories "The Aviator" has most nominations boasting no less then 14. Johnny Depp's flick "Finding Neverland" comes in at 11 nominations. While "House Of Flying Daggers" recieves a well deserved 9. In other categories Kate Winslet has two nominations for Actress in a Leading Role, for "Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind" and "Finding Neverland". The Awards will be hosted for the fifth time by Stephen Fry and will take place on Saturday 12th February at the Odeon, Leicester Square. They will produced by Initial (part of Endemol UK) and broadcast on BBC ONE. A list of all Nominations and more info about this Awards can be found here.
