Review of 'The Others' by Atarichild

well everyone i know goes and sees it and tells me it's the greatest thing since antibiotics and i HAVE to see this movie. so i rentit and i watch this boring piece of crapola. i'm thinking "nicole playing a bitch but not only that but a psycho bitch with creepy british kids" so i watch and my buddy is telling me "just wait for the ending! It's like the fucking ending to fight club man i swear!" so my interest is piqued because if someone knows how to get my attnetion ill watch anything.

so i watch and somehow some way someone is distracting me for the big reveal ( DON'T SAY WHAT IT IS!) and i miss the point of the movie entirely so i'm pissed because now i think it uber sucked. so i rewind it and watch it again. movie made a bit more sense but i had to go back several times just to catch all of the little things because honestly the movie contradicted itself several times but overall i liked it.

i can overlook boring if it's all a buildup for some ill type shit. i mean the only time we see one of the others it's an old lady pretending to be nicoles bad actress daughter i was a bit letdown. that was the point of the movie i started playing the shot a minute game just to pass the time. everything was distant and boring. the dialogue, the acting, eveyrthing made me want ot sleep but once again the ending made up for it. nicole kidman still isn't on my to-do list (like angelina jolie and drea de mateo but i digress) but she earned my respect.

she was playing a psycho bitch a bit better than most and i'm still not convinced of how much acting was acting but i liked the others. it was a overall good movie. if they threw in more creepy and less exposition i might have given it a 9 or even an 8 out of ten.
