Deadman's DVDs - January Edition

My list will include the following:  Title, Synopsis, DVD Link, and Release Date.  After my list, I will provide a second list of all the Hollywood films that will be coming out on DVD for the month - so you wont have to wonder if your favorite movie is coming out this month or not. 

So here are the deadman's picks for the month of January.

Deadman's DVD - January 2005

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2-Disc Collector's Edition)
Release Date - January 4, 2005
Synopsis -  Joel (Carrey) is stunned to discover that his girlfriend Clementine (Winslet) has had her memories of their tumultuous relationship erased. Out of desperation, he contacts the inventor of the process, Dr. Howard Mierzwiak (Wilkinson), to have Clementine removed from his own memory. But as Joel's memories progressively disappear, he begins to rediscover their earlier passion. From deep within the recesses of his brain, Joel attempts to escape the procedure. As Dr. Meirzwiak and his crew (Dunst, Ruffalo, Wood) chase him through the maze of his memories, it's clear that Joel just can't get her out of his head.

Kill Bill Collection Vol 1 & 2 (Box Set)
Release Date - January 5, 2005
Synopsis - Vol 1:  The first film in the two-part "Kill Bill" series, the second being Kill Bill Vol. 2. Uma Thurman is going to "Kill Bill," in Quentin Tarantino's latest film about a former assassin betrayed by her boss, Bill (Carradine). Four years after surviving a bullet in the head, the bride (Thurman) emerges from a coma and swears revenge on her former master and his deadly squad of international assassins, played by Lucy Liu, Daryl Hannah, Vivica A. Fox and Michael Madsen. 

Vol 2:  After dispensing with former colleagues O-Ren Ishii and Vernita Green in Kill Bill Vol. 1, the Bride (Thurman) resumes her quest for justice in the series' second installment. With those two down, the Bride has two remaining foes on her 'Death List' to pursue - Budd (Madsen) and Elle Driver (Hannah) - before moving on to her ultimate goal... to kill Bill (Carradine).

The 5th Element (Ultimate Edition)
Release Date - January 11, 2005
Synopsis -  With a deadly race of aliens ready to destroy Earth, a second race, allied with the humans, send a young girl, Leeloo (Jovovich), who is the fifth element, or supreme being. Her goal is to retrieve four stones and activate them in a temple in Egypt to save Earth from destruction.  Unfortunately things don't go smoothly and she requires the help of a number of humans, namely a priest (Holm) and a cab driver / ex-military expert, Korben Dallas (Willis). Others, such as Mr. Zorg (Oldman) and an army of alien shape-shifting mercenaries are also interested in the stones and the race to find them begins.

Synopsis -  2029 - A female covernment cyber agent and the Internal Bureau of Investigations are hot on the trail of "The Puppet Master" – a computer virus capable of invading cybernetic brains and altering its victim’s memory.
