Silent Hill , The movie

Konami has recently announced that its psycho-thriller title Silent Hill is going to be released world wide as a major motion picture. I know everyone might not agree with me here, but Resident Evil the movie was a disappointment all together, that is, if you're looking for authenticity over production. Though, can't we just have both?

It's a step in the right direction. A game that isn't regarded as one of the more dominant titles in the market is making its move to the silver screen. Following in the foot steps of more well known titles such as Mortal Kombat, Mario Brothers and Resident Evil.

Parasite Eve was in there somewhere, but I'll be honest when I say I never saw it. I'm not sure it counts anyway. Regardless, Konami has themselves a potential cash cow here in Silent Hill the movie.

Movies falling under the vague horror genre have done pretty well spite having far less substance than the story lines that ran through the Silent Hill series with the exception of the second installment. I know, I know, nobody wants to give Silent Hill 2 any love. I do, believe me, even though it didn't have much to do with one and three at all, I still enjoyed it....
