Updated: Correction from Dante on the Ocean Posters!

Dante Tomaselli dropped me a line again this evening and I wanted to run a quick correction. As you know he sent us a really nice first look of his RED poster from the Ocean ( see news earlier today ) and in that news item we mentioned that he didnt like the other version as much. We thought he was talking about the blue version which has been on our site and many others for some time. Turns out he wasnt. Quotting Dante's email from this evening.

Actually when I was referring to the poster art I disliked - I was talking about the poster art here: The Ocean - the new movie from Dante Tomaselli. The blue poster art I actually like best too.

A graphic artist named Stephen Banes (http://stephenbanes.com) did the poster for me based on what I told him I was going for. I was always pushing him to make it spookier, moodier...I definitely like the blue poster-art better. I came up with the tagline "A New Wave in Terror..." It feels right for this film.

This actually now makes things make sense. Since I really like the Blue Poster, it looks pretty damn sweet. I just did some follow-up with Dante to ask who made it, because it sure is slick. the poster he doesnt like, I gotta agree with him, I dont know where it came from but I am not big on it either. So yes this news isnt earth shattering but we wanted to run this regardless since Dante is our friend and we dont want people wondering why he likes RED over BLUE :)
