Doom - News from the set

Although everyone wants to keep the game's atmosphere, major changes have been made for the movie, directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak.

• The Monsters have nothing to do with Hell, they are people infected by a virus
• The story will not play on the Mars
• The "Space Marines" are more a "SWAT" Team than Space Marines

Because of a teleporting accident, one of the characters, a techician called "Pinky", has a cybernatic wheelchair. He later will mutate into something remotely resembling a creature from the game "Doom 3".

The producers say, that the movie will be more Horrorshooter than Action, nevertheless we will get lots of gun-shooting sequences. And in the end sequences we get to see a large number of scenes, shot purely in "first-person" perspective of the leading character John Grimm (Karl Urban).

And we also get to see the chainsaw and the "Bio Force Gun".
