Diamond Dead is a film getting much heated debate on what the film is going to end up like. The film is written by Brian Cooper, and George Romero and I want to take the focus OFF of George Romero and put it on Brian Cooper for a second and see what we can get of the film.
First lets start with the film. You can read the first draft of the screenplay here, http://www.diamonddead.com/pdfs/orig_script.pdf I know alot of you are screen writers and enjoy reading screenplays, so read, enjoy, comment.
The story revolves around a garage band and an aspiring female singer who wants to sing with the guys, who are on the brink of breaking. Unfortunately, she dashes her own hopes when she accidentally wipes out the entire band.
Here is the the Official Diamond Dead Site has to say about Brian Cooper and who he is as a writer.
Brian Cooper has been involved in the entertainment underground and horror genre since his college days atLorettoHeightsSchoolfor the Performing Arts. Over the years, Brian has worked with Mr. Vincent Price, Elvira, Linnea Quigley, and many others. He has designed haunted attractions for amusement parks, and created high-end props for the industry, which can be seen in every major theme park in the country. His short stories have appeared in Fear and the prestigious Blood Review.
He has been seen on television and in movies as a multitude of creatures, punks, and n’er-do-wells. Stories by Clive Barker, Stephen King, Joe Landsdale, Robert Bloch, and many others have featured his illustrations. The notorious syndicated comic strip Nymph won him his status as a true media anarchist and prankster. He has worked as an actor, special effects artist, illustrator, writer, professional female impersonator, front man for several bands, and lyricist. He has been known to lecture on a variety of subjects, from the fetish world to the life of H.P. Lovecraft. Brian’s performance art always draws a crowd in the art scene, as well as the S/M underground and Goth communities. If it’s twisted, sick, and depraved, Brian can be glimpsed in the shadows, waiting to pounce. "If it isn’t scary, it isn’t worth doing."
With that said they also have listed a few other references on the style and character of Brian Cooper here,

– Don Thompson, columnist forThe Denver Post
"It takes a special kind of mind to make us laugh at things we should be screaming about, and fall in love with things we know on instinct should be killed on sight. Brian does that in his work better than anyone."
–Bizarre Magazine
