Interview Paul Swearingen Second Line Rumors!

We had a chance to throw some questions at the writer and now associate producer of The Second Line. Over the last few weeks lots of stuff has been happening, and we are excited. Everything from speculation of John Carpenter Directing, to new producers on board. So here is what Paul Swearingen has to say.

Can you confirm the rumor that was sent to us that you are now onboard as associate producer with Anthony Masi?

From the beginning Mike has always included us in some aspect of the project. He offically named us Associate Producer's just here recently on IMDB.

Who is Mike Nichols? Why did he approach you?

Mike Nichols is a commercial producer from NYC. His company, Zooma Zooma, produces commercials and music videos, as well as represents directors for commercial work. His most well known director is Sam Raimi.

He approached us after hearing about our screenplay that was based on the true events in the past in a town called Elgin. There is a website called www.eerieelgin.com that lists all the Urban Legends of the town. Elgin, Illinois is my hometown and I lived next door to the haunted vacant lot that the "Unexplained Fire" took place.

As everyone knows a while back a rumor started circulating that John Carpenter would direct. What can you tell us about the rumor that John Carpenter is interested? Anything new?

Nothing new as far as John is concerned. All I know is that Mike has approached him.

Anything else new you can tell us about the Second Line?

Nothing confirmed yet, but there are some VERY interesting things in development. Mike is very good at updating IMDB for the fans so make sure to check in there every now and then.You can also go to www.movesproductions.com to learn more about the movie and there is a mini documentary on it as well. Also included is a FOX newscast covering the upcoming movie as well.

Are you working on any other secret and covert projects you can share?

Actually Anthony, Stef Hutchinson and I along with Malek Akkad are in the process of completeing the HALLOWEEN: 25 YEARS OF TERROR Documentary. Anthony is also the webmaster for www.halloweenmovies.com so make sure to check the site for the release date of the documentary. Should be early 2005 (that can change though).

I am also currently working with Lance Warlock (Halloween II) on two other projects. Both are documentaries to be filmed and or released in 2005 also.
