The Way of the Gun Review

Posted by:
This is one of the most fantastic films ever WRITTEN. It is no surprise the director can also take credit for Usual Suspects yet another fantastic film.

Academy Award-winning screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie makes his directorial debut with The Way of the Gun, a twisting crime drama about two cold-blooded career criminals who kidnap a surrogate mother and find themselves in an escalating cycle of guns and mayhem.

Longtime partners Parker (RYAN PHILLIPPE) and Longbaugh (BENICIO DEL TORO) are hoping for a quick and nonviolent payoff when they abduct Robin (JULIETTE LEWIS), a young woman carrying the child of a wealthy Southwestern couple. But kidnapping proves to be much more complicated, logistically and psychologically, than other felonies they've committed. Parker is increasingly drawn to the mysterious Robin, whose imminent delivery date awakens strong feelings in him. Tensions rise between Parker and Longbaugh, a ruthlessly decisive man who knows Parker's sentimental impulses could land them in big trouble. As the moment for the ransom exchange approaches, Parker and Longbaugh must battle not only well-armed opponents, but also their own conflicted emotions. The Way of the Gun also stars Taye Diggs and James Caan.

Editors Note: A fantastic film. If you loved usual suspects you will love this film, dark, disturbing at parts and a fantastic film overall.
