Ridley Scott Talks 3D Alien Prequels

Over the last week there has been alot of discussion about the upcoming Alien Prequels which Ridley Scott will direct. Ridley Scott in a recent interview with  The Independent recently caught up with Ridley Scott who promised the upcoming Alien prequels will be dark and brutal tales;

The film will be really tough, really nasty. It’s the dark side of the moon. We are talking about gods and engineers. Engineers of space. And were the aliens designed as a form of biological warfare? Or biology that would go in and clean up a planet?

For those not sure what Ridley Scott is talking about the prequel stories will be based many years before Sigourney Weaver's ALIEN and will apparently reveal where the ALIENS came. I have no issue with an origins story but I do have issue with the fact that apparently they will have the ALIENS origins being engineered by man.
