Kevin Bacons Role in X-Men First Class Revealed

There has been a ton of fanboy buzz over Kevin Bacon being cast as the villain in X-Men First Class and the filmmakers have done a great job at keeping it top secret to keep fan boys excited and of course guessing. For whatever reason Bryan Singer spoke to AICN and spoiled the fruit salad revealing his character.

Kevin Bacon will play Sebastian Shaw leader of the Hellfire Club which is a group of very wealth individuals who attempt to manipulate the world and events on a global scale. Kevin Bacons character is also a mutant who absorbs kenetic power and uses it as a weapon.

The film is bassed in the 60's with John F Kennedy President with James McAvoy who starred in WANTED playing a Young Professor X. He will start the movie out not in his chair but apparently will be in his chair before the film ends. Two staples will however not appear in the film according to Bryan Singer. Both Storm and Cyclops will not be in the series.
