The Ocean - the new movie from Dante Tomaselli

Dante Tomaselli, the director of "Satan's Playground", revealed his new project. Speaking to Creature Corner, he said that he plans to film his next movie "The Ocean" in summer 2005.

"I’m prepping 'The Ocean' right now. It’s about supernatural riptides terrorizing a coastal community. Expect plenty of drownings, possessions, and spooky haunted house scenarios. I’m writing the script and designing the soundtrack right now. I plan on shooting The Ocean in the summer of 2005. Felissa Rose plays a religious woman haunted by the drowning deaths of her husband and son. She inherits a mansion overlooking the crashing surf. It’s a dreamy, disturbing horror film with chills galore."

Dante Tomaselli also talked about the cast, he would like to have in this movie.

"I would love to have Jessica Harper ("Suspiria") play Felissa’s mother in the film and I think I’m going to pursue that. I already have Judith O’Dea ("Night of the Living Dead") committed for a role. Obviously, I’m the kind of director who’s more impressed with actors like Ellen Sandweiss ("Evil Dead", "Satan's Playground") than Meryl Streep. She was a dream to work with. I want to work with horror movie stars from movies I loved from the 60's, 70's and 80's. So far, all is going according to plan."

The director also said, that his executive producer just returned from the AFM in L.A., and that the chances for a theatrical release of "Satan's Playground" are very high.
