Batman 3 Filming in April

Many months back we told you that the sequel to Christopher Nolans Dark Knight would be hitting theaters July 20th 2012 and would reportedly be released in 3D. Today from Digital Spy comes word that the film will begin shooting next April. Its worth being cautious since the source is Michael Caine who started the completely wrong rumors of Johnny Depp playing The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman playing the Penguin in the third film. Needless to say both ended up being not true.

Christopher Nolan had said that his intentions were to have The Joker in the Dark Knight sequel but Heath Ledgers death not only eliminated that but also made Chris question whether he even wanted to do a sequel according to the press. I am glad he is doing the project and am excited to see where the film goes. I also hope desperately that The Riddler is NOT in it.
