Sam Raimi, Robert Downey Jr Doing Wizard of Oz Movie

According to Deadline Hollywood Sam Raimi and Robert Downey Jr are both going to be working on an upcoming adaptation of The Wizard of Oz with Robert Downey Jr playing the role of the Wizard of Oz.

The film is a prequel story which will be based before the Wizard ever got to Oz and focuses on his time working in a circus. I am a huge Sam Raimi fan so it should be interesting to see how this one plays out.
