James Franco in Talks for Planet of the Apes Prequel

DeadLine Hollywood is reporting that James Franco is in talks to star in the upcoming Planet of the apes prequel RISE OF THE APES for FOX. James Franco is a great talent and did a fantastic job in Pineapple Express really stealing the show in a comedy that everyone expected he would flounder in.

The prequel story will be directed by Rupert Wyatt and will be released into theaters June 24th 2011. In the film Caesar is an ape that is having an Alzheimer's drug tested on him which as a side effect makes him super intelligent. The outcome of course is he unites the other apes to wage war against Man Kind!
