Shia LaBeouf Admits What Fans Knew, Transformers 2 Sucked

Ok so admittedly SUCKED is a bit harsh but Transformers 2 lacked all of the magic of the first film. The second film lacked any sort of interesting script and was all about giant robots smashing each other.

If your audience is unsophisticated this works but most fans of Transformers are not unsophisticated. They are mature and educated individuals who want to see action and dont object to Megan Fox skimping about but the movie should be about alot more then that. Shia told the Associated Press all of this at cannes saying;

 “we got lost. We tried to get bigger. It’s what happens to sequels. It’s like, how do you top the first one? You’ve got to go bigger,” LaBeouf said. “Mike went so big that it became too big, and I think you lost the anchor of the movie. … You lost a bit of the relationships. Unless you have those relationships, then the movie doesn’t matter. Then it’s just a bunch of robots fighting each other.”

Really I think Shia is really sucking up to us fans with these statements and is hitting the nail firmly on the head. Transformers was never just about Giant Robots smashing each other and the movies shouldnt be either or they just wont work.
