Universal Pictures has bought "The Strangers," a horror spec by first-time writer Bryan Bertino for Vertigo Entertainment's Roy Lee and Doug Davison to produce. Senator Films also will produce.
"Strangers" is the story of three mysterious strangers who terrorize a young couple in a remote house after they return from a wedding. So far it is very reminesent of "Last House on the Left" which was a great film from the golden 70s era of horror films. It seems that alot of those films are being remade or have some influence on horror films being released now. Which is defintely a good thing.
