Kip Wiliams Directing Paranormal Activity 2

Paranormal Activity director Oren Peli announced today that director Kip Williams has signed on for the next chapter! Kip Williams according to IMDB is Todd Williams and has directed a few films but none of any real substance to the horror genre.

You will recall that originally SAW 6 director Kevin Greutert had been tapped to direct Paranormal Activity 2 but the deal fell apart when LionsGate decided he wasnt free to do the project. Paranormal Activity was made for around $15,000 and was not just an internet sensation but a theater smash hit making it the most profitable film ever made.

I have some serious doubts whether the sequel can bring back the magic of the first and I suspect the film will get a bigger budget to try and compensate for the fact that its no longer a new viral sensation and will need more to draw in fans.
