Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Sam Carter Headlining The Thing Remake

From the Hollywood Reporter comes word that the new remake of The Thing has cast its leads. Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Sam Carter will play the two lead roles in the upcoming film. Mary will play a paleontologist sent to Antarctica to investigate the findings of the Norwegian camp that we saw in the beginning of Jarpenters The Thing.

Sam Carter will play the American Pilot who takes Kate to the camp. Matthijs Van Heijningen will direct the project which was penned by Battlestar Galactica producer Ronald D Moore. I really enjoyed the last remake of The Thing and have high hopes that this new film can deliver some excitement. Filming begins mid March in Canada my true home strong and free! :)
