Avatar Makes $2 Billion at the Box Office

Earlier in the week TheDude did his box office roundup and went over the top grossing films of the week and it just dawned on me that Avatar has finally crossed the $2billion box office number. In its combined domestic and international box office sales the movie has brought in over $2billion making it the first movie to do so.

Quite an impressive feat to say the least! There is no question that all the talk and rumors of an Avatar trilogy will definitely come to fruition considering how much money the first film has made. My question is I wonder what James Camerons deal on the film was. Did he get a % of profit or was he paid out right? If he got a percentage then Avatar has made him one rich... err RICHER man.
