Bourne Prequel Coming Minus Matt Damon?

The easy way to make a movie franchise go on when the leading actor and director are not interested... is to do a prequel. Paul Greengrass left the project and it seems from EmpireOnline that Matt Damon is not going to be involved either as he waits for a good script for the new Bourne Sequel. A prequel is a coming. He tells them;

“There’ll probably be a prequel of some kind with another actor and another director before we do another one,” Damon said. “just because I think we’re probably another five years away from doing it -- we’ve got to get a script…”

I think that Bourne Identity was one of the best action-thrillers I have seen in my entire life but admittedly the sequels went a bit flat. I am sure the 4th one will make a ton of money but much like Transporter 3 I can not say for sure I will be in theaters.
