Avatar Makes $1billion in Record Time

I am really dissapointed in myself for seeing Avatar in 2D I should have left the full screening and come back since 2D sucked and clearly 3D is the experience for this movie. In just under 3 weeks in theaters the movie has managed to make $1billion making it the 4th most profitable film in film history.

The movie is well on its way to being the 2nd most profitable film released in North America behind Titanic which was also a James Cameron film. James Cameron now has the distinction of having the fastest film to make a billion dollars and the only director to have two films that had made $1billion. The two films of course being Titanic and Avatar.
