Woman Gets Punched Out On MTV'S 'Jersey Shore'

I first heard about MTV's new show Jersey Shore when I was watching Fox & Friends last week. Ironic that I do not normally watch Fox & Friends but I did agree with that mornings broadcast about how Jersey Shore is a pretty low brow and insulting new reality show. The show is being billed by MTV as being about the 'hottest, tannest, craziest Guidos"' who live together on the Jersey Shore to party for a summer.

I am not italian but the reference to the reality cast members as 'Guidos' is definitely shocking. Not nearly as shocking as the new promo clip for an upcoming episode of Jersey Shore where a female cast member named Snooki gets punched out by a man in a bar.

Seriously what is MTV thinking? Am i alone in finding this EXTREMELY offensive? I have seen alot of horror films and alot of really really disturbing sequences in different films but the REALITY of MTV promoting a new reality show with a woman being punched in the face and dropped to the floor crying... is just downright wrong in my books.
