Mark Miller Says Wanted 2 Shooting in 2 Month

SuperHeroHype caught up with Mark Miller at Comic Con who revealed that WANTED 2 will begin shooting in 2 months time. He told them quote;

While talking to Mark Millar for Kick-Ass he revealed to us that the script for Wanted 2 is complete and that they’re going to start shooting in eight weeks time. Timur Bekmambetov is returning to direct while James McAvoy will again play Wesley Gibson. Millar told us the sequel will revolve around the international group of assassins from issues 4 and 5 from Millar’s graphic novel.

Earlier from RIA came word that Wanted 2 is gearing up to shoot this Fall and quite shockingly they are planning to bring back Angelina Jolie's character. I am not sure how this is going to work since the movie ends with her biting it with a bullet to the cranium.

Last word we had on Wanted 2 was that Evan Spiliotopoulos according to ReelComix.com is goig to write the script. Timur will of course return to direct the sequel. Wanted was a fantastic film and one of my favorite comic book films of 2008.

Evan Spiliotopoulos has written two Pooh movies for Disney so he is definitely not a choice I would have expected. Alot of writers though get their break in Hollywood doing mainstream fare so they can work their way to doing projects close to their heart. Should be interesting to see what Evan delivers.
