Bryan Singers Superman Sequel Contract Expires

Well we all knew there was alot of speculation as to whether or not Bryan Singer would return for Superman but now its official.. at least for now. He tells Portuguese film site OMELETE that his contract to helm the film has expired.

He also feels the reason the first film fell flat with fans was a lack of action. I am not sure I agree but I am also not able to put my finger on just what I did not like about the film. Perhaps its the fact they did not try to deviate from the earlier films. They tried to hard to recreate existing magic rather then adding a new touch like Batman Begins. What are your thoughts?
