RUE MORGUE is proud to announce the launch of its own in-house music label, RUE MORGUE Records, with the flagship release of NIGHTMARE PICTURE THEATRE, an album of original music produced by RUE MORGUE’s President and Editor-In-Chief ROD GUDINO. Composed and performed by Toronto musical prodigy JAMES FISHER, NIGHTMARE PICTURE THEATRE presents over forty-five minutes of instrumental audio horror, tailored for Halloween events, haunted attractions and uneasy listening.

"I am very proud to launch RUE MORGUE’s in-house record label with a release such as this," remarked Gudino. "Despite the fact that we celebrate all kinds of horror-themed music in the magazine, it was important for me that we start things out with an ambitious project that is as musically appealing as it is genuinely unsettling."

NIGHTMARE PICTURE THEATRE tells the story – through music – of a child who is tormented by a sinister Bedside Presence into having nightmares of his future life. Set in an abandoned picture theatre, the nightmares animate the spectres of childhood, the anxieties of adolescence, the fears of adulthood, and an old age haunted by memory and impending death. Sombre and Expressionistic, NIGHTMARE PICTURE THEATRE is an instrumental horror concept album of dark beauty and exquisite dread – a truly unique listening experience.
