More News on the Tomb Raider Reboot

Many months ago we first heard that their was a Tomb Raider reboot in the works and today from About.com comes more details on the reboot. They sat down with the producer Dan Lin who told them;

“We’re rebooting Lara Croft…It’s a great origin story that we’re going to tell, a very character-oriented, I would say more realistic than the past Lara Croft movies…It’s not full-on action. I would say it’s like Terminator, it’s character driven action. For me, the Lara Croft games and movies have gone a little too action-oriented. I wanted to have action, but with character.”

There is no word on whether or not Angelina Jolie will return to reprise her role as Laura Croft. If I had my way I would say Rhona Mitra who got her start as the model for the character would be a great choice but in the past she has said she has no interest in being involved with the film.
