Constantine Movie Reshoots

This is one of the movies I have been trying to get out to people for a long time. Ever since I sat in on the 18 minute preview I knew this movie would be a winner. Well recently it is reported that it was given an R rating by the MPAA. Now I when I saw the preview I almost right away assumed thats what they were going for anyway.

Well now it seems that they are going back and reshooting some scenes. The question is whether they are going to tone the film down due to pressure from the studio to get a PG-13 rating or if they are going to spice up some scenes to make it a worthwhile R rating.

My hope and guess is that they are shooting for a hard R. Mainly because I know how DC is approaching this and I know what the director wanted for the film. It is based on a Vertigo imprint which is the "rated R" comics out of DC. But I guess it will be up to the studio in the end. Hopefully they won't tone down any of the scenes I saw which were amazing.
