Canadian Joins Smokin Aces Prequel

Canadian actor C. Ernst Harth (Thirteen Ghosts, Scooby-Doo 2 & 3, Capote) has been cast as the new Tremor brother in the prequel SMOKIN' ACES: BLOWBACK, joining Maury Sterling who reprises his role as Lester Tremor from the first film.

The officially titled Smokin Aces: Blowback will be a straight to DVD title that has just picked up Tom Berenger and Sofia Vergara. According to Moviehole.net, Berenger will play the lead in the film, a fed sworn to protect a witness under custody from the mass of maniacs and thugs (One of the bounty hunters is AK-47, the sister of the Tremors' boys from the original) who have either been evoked or commissioned to nail him.

Blackfilm had the news about the Vergara casting. During an interview she revealed that she would be playing an assassin which would make her AK-47, resident gun-for-hire and sister of the Tremor Brothers. Already in the cast are Michael Parks, David Richmond-Peck, Nestor Carbonell, Merwin Mondesir and Tommy Flanagan.
