New Movie: The Dark (Darkness)

Also known as "Darkness",  this film was originally scheduled for a wide US theatrical release on August 2nd, 2002, and was then pushed back several months to February 7th, 2003, but was yanked for whatever reasons.  Dimension then picked June 18th, 2004 for a wide release and it was pulled again. Now it looks like "The Dark" (Darkness) is finally going to see the light of day (at least on US soil), because this film has already been released overseas, and you can even buy the dvd (Region 2). 

Directed by Jaume Balaguero and starring Anna Paquin, Lena Olin, Iain Glen and Giancarlo Giannini. 

"The Dark" tells a story of when a family moves into their dream house, their nightmares begin. The father's fragile health takes a turn for the worse, the mother checks out mentally, the young son is afraid of the dark...and the daughter seems to serve as the conduit between an evil entity and the physical world. Heinous acts were once left undone in the house, and the entity seeks closure.
