Murphy Denies Dark Knight Sequel Role as The Riddler

It was probably one of the stupidest rumors to date for the Batman franchise but a story broke on THE SUN last week saying that Eddie Murphy was going to play The Riddler and today the rumor is squashed.

 

Almost everyone who knows anything about Christopher Nolan knew this story was not true and today Eddie Murphy has confirmed that he is not doing the role according to ABC News. Thanks to shawn for the scoop.

I have no idea why Eddie Murphy felt the need to come out and deny this rumor since it was clearly not true but at least that ship has now sailed. ON a side note the same story has Shia Labeouf and Rachel Weisz in the film as Robin and Catwoman. Safe to say those two are untrue as well
