Pink Panther Comes to BlurayPosted by: PuppetMasterThe Pink Panther is coming to DVD January 20th. Based on the popular film franchise of the ‘60s and ‘70s, The Pink Panther stars Steve Martin (Pink Panther 2, Roxanne) as Inspector Clouseau, the bumbling yet resolute detective, who once again is tasked with finding the coveted Pink Panther diamond. Bonus material on the Blu-ray release includes “Code Pink: Animated Graphics-in-Pictures Track” featuring all new original animation of the Pink Panther and Inspector Clouseau delivering fun facts and trivia about making the film, as well as five featurettes, 11 deleted scenes, three music videos and audio commentary with director Shawn Levy. Each Blu-ray Disc also includes Movie Cash, good towards a ticket to see The Pink Panther 2, in theaters February 6th. Steve Martin stars as Inspector Jacques Clouseau, a man who is big in heart and even bigger in clumsiness. When French football coach and Pink Panther owner, Yves Gluant (Jason Statham) is murdered, the devious Chief Inspector Dreyfus (Oscar®-winner Kevin Kline1) sees an opportunity to rise to fame and gain national pride if he can catch the killer. He hatches a plan to divert the press and public eye by assigning the inept Clouseau to investigate the case, while he operates behind the scenes to nab the bandit. Clouseau, however, sees the appointment as an opportunity to prove his superior detective skills and serve his beloved France. When Clouseau is let loose on Paris, he engages in a series of pratfalls and misunderstandings, such as pursuing the victim's girlfriend Xania (Beyoncé Knowles) as a suspect. To “help” him with the case, Dreyfus partners Clouseau with Ponton (Jean Reno), whose real job is to report back to Dreyfus. Even with the hi-jinks and mishaps, Clouseau gets closer to the killer. And soon he becomes a bit too close for criminal and law enforcement alike.
