Frozen River Comes to DVD

The winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival; Frozen River will be released on DVD on February 10, 2009, from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Canada. Written and directed by Courtney Hunt and starring Melissa Leo (TV’s Homicide:  Life on the Streets, 21 Grams) Special features will include a commentary with Writer and Director Courtney Hunt and Producer Heather Rae.

Frozen Riverhas been nominated for two Gotham Independent Film Awards (Best Feature and Best Breakthrough Actor, Melissa Leo) and has won the Audience Award for Best Picture at the Provincetown Film Festival. The film also was chosen as the Opening Night Selection at MOMA’s 2008 New Directors/New Films series and won the Lena Sharpe Audience Award for Best Female Director at the Seattle Film Festival
