Gossip Girl Writer Takes on X-men First Class

Awhile back we told you that FOX was working on a new series of heroes called X-Men First Class which would focus on some lesser known characters from the mutant world. Some of the characters we know well some not so much. It focuses on Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Iceman, Angel and Professor X.

It was rumored that Gossip Girl writer Josh Schwartz would be writing and now it is confirmed on Variety that yes indeed he will be writing it. I really am not at all impressed since the one thing that irritates me to no end is glossy movies that look like an Abercrombie commercial and not a proper movie. That said we will have to wait and see just how Josh Schwartz applies his talents as a writer to the film.
