Galaxy Quest 2 on the way ?

Our colleques from IESB had the chance  to catch up with Tony Shalhoub, who played  Fred Kwan/Tech Sgt. Chen in "Galaxy Quest",  at the Red Carpet World Premiere of "The Incredibles" at the El Capitan Theater.

They asked Tony if there has been any word on a possible sequel to Galaxy Quest. To their surprise he said that there has been some recent talks about Galaxy Quest 2 and that he would do the sequel in a heartbeat.

There is no confirmation yet about a sequel, and because of the movie not making too well at the box-office, it could be very risky of making a 2nd part. But if the complete cast (sadly Daryl Mitchell who played Tommy Webber/Lt. Laredo had a near fatal motorcycle accident on November 2001 and is now paralyzed) would reprise their roles, i guess the movie would easily make it's money back.
