1984, Japan: Jade was only 4 years old, being raised in a caring family, when she was kidnapped by Otosan, the leader of an international crime organization. In the years that followed, he trained Jade to become a professional killer.

Three months later in Hong Kong, when Officer Mr Yung attends an international conference, he is ambushed and injured. The assassin is the Japanese girl who went missing 20 years ago -- Jade! Having failed her mission, Jade flees and is accidentally hurt and passes out. A doctor later diagnoses her as suffering from Temporary Traumatic Amnesia.
