Christopher Nolan Signed for Dark Knight Sequel

Feign shock.. or at least try. ProductionWeekly reports that Christopher Nolan has been signed on to direct the Dark Knight sequel. Considering just how big of a hit the last two Batman films have been this should come as no surprise at all.

According to the good folks at Batman On Film the sequel for The Dark Knight has gone into pre-production. Sourcing members of the crew in chicago they say they are gearing up to begin doing the leg work for production on the sequel to begin. Alot of big names have been thrown around as to who will be the villains in the sequels including Johnny Depp and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. The sequel will have some big shoes to fill since Aaron Eckhardt and Heath Ledger both did fantastic jobs in the last film as the villains.

For those who cant wait for the Dark Knight to hit DVD the wait wont be long. It will hit DVD December 9th according to Warner Brothers. Below is some DVD art they supplied us with.
