Rorschach Pickets FOX

This cracked me up. M.Lopez one of my compadres on Twitter shared this link with me where Rorshach one of the characters from the upcoming Watchmen movie pickets the offices of FOX the studio that is holding up the film by sueing Warner Brothers over who really has the rights... after the film has been completed. Alan Moore has not hid the fact that he thinks the Watchmen movie is a terrible idea and he has always said that it would not translate well from Comic to Film. Zach Snyder to his credit has always shown alot of respect to Alan Moore and has handled his comments well. Alan Moore according to ComingSoon.net is pleased that the movie is caught up in legal wranglings. They quote him as saying;

“Will the film even be coming out? There are these legal problems now, which I find wonderfully ironic. Perhaps it’s been cursed from afar, from England, and I can tell you that I will also be spitting venom all over it for months to come.”

Some people might think Alan Moore is being a dick but he is not. Alan is a very intelligent and passionate man about his work. He also does not take himself to seriously. In his documentary about his life and work he made it very clear he is not a celebrity, and he doesnt buy into that. His only issue with WatchMen is he doesnt feel it would translate to film and he has never changed his view on this point. We as fans of his work may not like that but we must respect it.
