Brett Ratner doing Guitar Hero Movie?

Wow as if the pool wasnt shallow enough with odd ball movie ideas Brett Ratner according to Game-Reviews.ca is interested in directing a movie based off the hit videogame Guitar Hero. Admittedly his idea isnt entirely lame but it is 100% lame how he wants to tie his movie to the guitar hero name to cash in. Go here for the complete low down.

The simple outline is its about a kid from a small town who wins a huge Guitar Hero competition. Movie Material? I think not. Fun games dont mean fun 90minutes in a chair watching a movie about it.
